TIBS FC is a community based, not for profit, grass roots football club between Thornaby & Ingleby Barwick opposite the Teesside Industrial Estate. The club was established in 1997 to provide football activities for the Thornaby and the developing Ingleby Barwick area.
Initially there was 1 team playing on 1 pitch run by 2 coaches with no real facilities. Today, TIBS is an FA Chartered Standard Development club, has approaching 250 children aged 6 to 17, with approximately 25 teams, caters for all levels of ability, playing at its own ground with 6 pitches, has its own club house with facilitates and is run by volunteers consisting of approximately 60 coaches and a Management Committee of 8.
The club continues to develop including our Micros Training (For ages 3 -6) and our Girls Academy which saw the introduction of TIBS FC first girl’s teams in the season 2018 / 19 and continues to expand.
As a not for profit organisation, and one of the best value clubs for parents across the Teesside Junior Football scene, we rely heavily on our parents and their contributions through their subscriptions to meet the running costs of the club. Furthermore, each team is encouraged to hold its own fund-raising events and to find sponsorship for trips, tournaments, tracksuits, jackets etc. From the club perspective, we look to identify Community Partners who can support the club in some way whether financially or by helping with the maintenance and upkeep of the ground and facilities.
